Not everyone can be a writer, and you need more than just a pen or a computer (or to talk to people). You need a heart. Determination. You need to know what to say and how to say it. You need maturity and sensibility. A degree is not required, but helpful. You need to know what to do when you stare at a blank piece of paper (or computer screen). And you need to learn how to take rejections. But I’m sure you know all these, and possess all these qualities. Otherwise you wouldn’t be writing what you’re writing.

It might be harder to succeed today than in the good old days, or maybe it is easier. I don’t know…and I agree with you that we will keep trying.

Under the pen name Tudor Alexander I have written and published five novels and one collection of short stories. Please visit www.tudoralexander.com.
